Discipleship Training School (DTS) is the heart and soul of Youth With A Mission International. Through this school many have had the opportunity to see the supernatural and miraculous power of God. And you can be a part of that!

You will embark on a journey that will take you through 5 ½ months of an adventure that will teach you how to distinguish the voice of the Lord and, at the same time, draw nearer to His side. Acquire a newfound love for the Word of God, resulting in transformation in you that is the sculpting of the Master Himself.

This adventure is divided into 2 sections, the first being the lecture phase where you will digest 12 weeks of training; learning several different aspects of God. Each week is packed full of opportunities to see God and hear from Him yourself!

Then begins the outreach where you will put into practice all of the wonderful things you have discovered during your training time. You will be able to share you faith cross-culturally with people from the Islamic, Buddhist or Hindu world!

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) aims to prepare messengers of the Gospel, helping people to know God in depth. We work to form Christian character while establishing biblical relationships between the student and God, and between the student and his family and friends.

The aim is to develop a daily walk with God rather than to accumulate information. The five- or six-month program consists of three months of classroom evangelism. Live teaching, videotaped lectures from around the world, and individualized counseling focus on helping believers become effective Christians and soul winners.

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is the first course on the path to a degree with University of the Nations (U of N) and a prerequisite for all other courses. Completion of a DTS including outreach with YWAM Orlando, is worth 20 credits with the U of N.

YWAM Orlando also offers some Focus DTS options.  If you have a passion that lines up with one of our focus DTS’, it might just be your place to turn a passion into action.  These focus DTS’ are not “better” or “less than” the DTS Classic - you'll get a full DTS experience in any one of them.  In most cases, the schools are extended by a few weeks and/or your daily schedule will be longer to not only cover the classic DTS teaching, but also training in the focused area.  Your outreach will also be tailored to work within your focus area.  Just choose the one most interesting to you!

Compassion/Justice DTS - A challenge for those people full of justice and deep compassion for the least and the lost.

Sports and fitness DTS - Learn how you can use your love of sports and physical fitness to serve the Lord.

Photography DTS = A photography DTS has the added bonus of learning how to use photography to further God’s kingdom.
